A Hundred Acre Woods is a full day program, 5 days a week, year-round!
Full Day Curriculum
At A Hundred Acre Woods we believe that the development of a child mentally, socially and academically benefits strongly from a full-day curriculum. There are no abrupt interrupts, allowing the child to experience a full day of learning and play, and getting acclimated to the pace of a school day as they move on.
Year-Round Care
In pairing with a full-day curriculum, we believe it is most beneficial for a child to be in our program year-round, Monday through Friday, to allow them to progress in their learning. Additionally, they are better able to maintain a routine.
New Monthly Themes
We utilize the “Experience Early Learning Curriculum” which introduces a new theme every month. Each monthly theme has four exciting investigative studies with a new topic to dig into each day!
Meet the owners!
Ms. Noreen is the mom of 2 grown children. She has owned and operated A Hundred Acre Woods since 2013. Her passion is getting kids ready for kindergarten and beyond, by teaching them more than just their ABCs and 123s, but social and emotional skills as well!
Ms. Taylor joined the program in 2024, after working in other centers for 4 years. She has a Chid Development Associate with a focus in infants and toddlers. Her passion is guiding the younger ones through their first years as they learn about this great big world around us.
Both of us are licensed through the state of Connecticut, as well as CPR & Red Cross certified.
